“Your soul knows the truth by the way it feels”

What if joy is already there? Already right there. An undercurrent waiting for you to swim deep enough below the mind-noise to find it. Sometimes, when I am lucky, in my most intense moments of worry, there is a voice that sounds true. It says, what if there is nothing to fix, nothing to worry over, nothing to check up on again and again? and when I let this be possible, even if I can only let it be possible for a second, it brings immense peace to my soul. Immense ease. The idea that my tired worries can rest. That they are truly not needed. That all is well.

These moments are moments of extreme clarity, moments that haven’t come through often but when they do they bring huge shifts that sustain me for a long time to move into ease. To make changes. Like the clouds parting to reveal sun after a long storm. Like the first breath of air after silently drowning in thoughts for too long.

Some part of me thinks this voice may come from the other side. From a guide or from my inner self which is my guide. The truth is I don’t pretend to be certain about these kinds of things. I only know that it is the truth. I know it because my soul recognizes it as such. Because my spirit sighs a sigh of relief when it feels it. And I know intuitively it is a doorway to the joy that is always there waiting for me.
